Sukhumvit
The long Sukhumvit Road is an distinctive area well-known among expatriates and higher class natives. It is crammed with quality hotels, nightclubs and restaurants. Part of its nightlife represents Bangkok's bizarre image, particularly Nana Entertainment Plaza and Soi Cowboy.

Silom
The area around Sathorn Road and Silom Road is Thailand's sober financial centre by day, but Bangkok's major party district by night when quarters like the famous Patpong sparkle.

Ramkhamhaeng
Alongside Ramkhamhaeng Road is a substantial housing area with big departmental stores and theme parks (like Safari World). Each individual local community has its own distinct character, but Hua Mak and Bang Kapi get noticed as lively areas with a lot of students from the universities.
